We offer two different types of trading card sets:
Regular Sets and Limited Edition Sets (see below)

REGULAR SERIES SETS: This is the series which we call "continuing" because we begin each new set with a numbering sequence where the previous set ended.  For example, the most recent of our regular sets, F-16 Fighting Falcon ends with card number 217. Therefore the next set to be published sometime in the future will begin with card number 218. TOP PILOT has published a total of 17 regular sets but only 12 are currently available. Our first set was called MACH l and is sold out. MACH 1 consisted of card numbers 1 through 17. Original WARBIRDS (card nos. 18 through 48), COMBAT HELICOPTERS (card nos. 63 through 76) COLD WAR FIGHTERS (card nos. 133 through 152), and CARGO AIRCRAFT (cards nos. 153 through 161) are also out-of-print (although we do have some Ltd. Ed. Cargo Aircraft and Ltd. Ed. Cold War Fighters sets available, see below). The only way to obtain out-of-print sets would be to purchase them from a dealer or an individual collector who still might have some. Sometimes we receive information with regard to the location of out-of-print sets, so feel free to ask us or send a stamped, self-addressed envelope requesting this information.

Because our sets are individually released, each set is separately valued in the various collector's price guides. Therefore a collector may choose the set or sets he or she likes, and need not be concerned about the sets which may not be desired. In other words, value, is not affected by the fact that the collector does not have all the sets.

LIMITED EDITION SETS: On occasion, TOP PILOT will publish a Limited Edition version of one our regular sets. These sets are designed for the serious collector.
We currently have Limited Edition Sets available in Blue Angels Thunderbirds MACH 2, F-14, SR-71, Cold War Fighters, Cargo Aircraft, WARBIRDS - Series 2, F-4, F/A-18, F-15, and F-16. Only 500 to 2,000 of these sets were printed, depending on type. A WARBIRDS (original) Limited Edition set (only 1,300 sets) was published in 1990, but is no longer available and is a very rare find! Combat Helicopters was also published as a Limited Edition set but is no longer available. All Limited Edition Sets have different features from the regular sets.
  1. The checklist is hand-signed and serialized.
  2. The card backs are of a different color than the regular sets.
  3. The card backs state "Limited Edition "
  4. The card numbering sequence is 1 to XX instead of "continuing" like the regular sets.
  5. Each set comes packaged in a plastic collector's case.

PROMO CARDS: To date, we have produced thirteen regular and seven limited edition promo cards. See our order form on how to obtain available promo cards free of charge with an order. P1 and P2 are no longer available and are included below for information only. The"L" denotes a Limited Edition version. They are as follows:
